Have a look at Ebrat Museum in Iran

The building of Ebrat Museum was built in Tehran’s National Garden in 1932 as a temporary prison.

Then, it was used as a prison for women, and later on, it was called Anti-sabotage Joint Committee. During the reign of the Pahlavi dynasty, people who were against the rulers were interrogated and tortured in this prison.

Political prisoners were brutally tortured with a wide range of tools and tactics.

Hanging from the ceiling, burning body with lighter and candle, and electroshock weapon are a few of the means for torturing prisoners.

The prison was shut in 2000 and changed to a museum for the memories of those kept, tortured, and executed there.
